NEW YORK STATE COVID DASHBOARD
Beginning Tuesday, September 8th, 2020, New York school districts are required to provide the Department of Health with daily data on the number of people who have tested positive for COVID-19. The information is publicly available on a new online COVID-19 school data tracking dashboard, developed by DOH, and will be updated daily.

Students listed as positive on this website live within the boundaries of our school district. They may be in-person, hybrid, virtual, home-schooled, and alternative program students.
MASKS AND PPE
The Saratoga County Department of Health does not recommend the use of bandanas or gaiters, therefore, they are not accepted as acceptable face coverings in the GCSD.
SCREENING
Students and staff are required to complete a daily COVID-19 screening before entering the building or boarding the bus. A secondary temperature check will be conducted upon entering the building. This screening will be conducted by a nurse, administrator, pupil services or administrator designee .
Staff and students exhibiting COVID-19 related symptoms are directed to stay home and consult with their physician.
STAFF/STUDENTS EXHIBITING SYMPTOMS DURING THE SCHOOL DAY
Staff developing symptoms during the school day will be sent home to seek guidance from their health care provider. Students developing symptoms during the school day will be sent to an isolation room until a parent/guardian can pick them up. If a staff member or student is sent home due to development of symptoms during the school day, all members of the household will also be sent home. Parents will be directed to check with their child’s primary care physician to determine if testing is necessary. If the physician determines the symptoms to be from a diagnosis other than COVID-19, they are to write a note stating that and that they may return to school. If the physician sends them for a COVID-19 test, they and any household members who attend GCSD are to remain home until test results are determined and submitted to the health office.
ISOLATION/QUARANTINE
Any person who is COVID-19 positive is isolated for at least 10 days. If someone is a contact of a person who is COVID-19 positive they will be quarantined for 14 days from the last day of exposure. The Saratoga County Department of Health will determine when a person is released from isolation and quarantine.
Once someone has finished their 10 day isolation, assuming they have recovered and are 24 hours fever free and have greatly improved symptoms, the public health department will officially release the individual from isolation and provide the individual with a release letter.
