ANNOUNCEMENTS/TODAY'S EVENTS

It's finally Friday let's get this weekend started!  On this Friday, let go of all your troubles and enjoy the day Eagle Nation! 

  • Our hearts go out to the people, family, and friends of the tragic accident that occurred outside the Regan National Airport over the Potomac River.  

The weather will not be pleasant today as we are expecting rain, freezing rain, ice, and then a possibility of 2-5 inches of snow with more snow and bitter cold over the weekend.  Be Smart and Be Safe out there Eagle Nation.


Snow, snow go away. Warmer weather please come stay.  This weather is getting old. So tired of being cold.  Spring hurry fast.  Spring sports open gyms have started (check the times below)!!!


The Winter Sports Season is winding down make sure you check the schedule below so you can come out to support our athletes.  The NASCAR Clash is this  Sunday at historic Boman Gray Stadium at 8:00 p.m. on FOX. Let's Go Racing.

  • There are only 48 days till Spring and just 8 days until Spring Training begins with Pitchers and Catchers reporting or MLB.  It's just 15 days until the DAYTONA 500.  Let's get ready to start those engines.  It is 66 days till the Masters in Augusta, Georgia, and 152 days until Wimbledon.

TRAP SHOOTING TEAM
  • Registration opens February 4th
  • Open to grades 6-12
  • Must be 12 years old or older
  • No equipment or experience is required

HIGHLIGHTS

Girls Basketball Highlights

The Girls' JV Basketball team hosted Mayfield last night for their rubber match with the Panthers.  The Eagles jumped on the Panthers early leading 7-2 after the first quarter and held a 17-6 lead at the half.  The Eagles cruised the rest of the way winning 36-22 to take two out of three games against Mayfield. Nora Schaperjahn led the way for the Eagles with 15 points.  Lilly Bain chipped in with 7 points.  The Eagles have a busy week next week as they play Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

Darren Munchbach

Darren is an 8th grader on the Boys' JV basketball team and plays most of the time during the games. He shows up ready to work daily and has a positive attitude. He continues to improve every day. He most recently was our leading scorer in the game against  OESJ.
