ANNOUNCEMENTS/TODAY'S EVENTS

HAPPY MONDAY EAGLE NATION!!!!   What an amazing weekend at the Nest.  Homecoming has come and gone and tomorrow the calendar turns to October.  It was amazing to see so much EAGLE Spirit over the weekend with so many festivities taking place from all the games, the pep rally, the athlete walkthrough, to the homecoming dance, the float parade, games under the lights, and the alumni being honored between games. Then it finished off with an amazing fireworks display after an incredible 1-1 double overtime tie in the girls' game.  Today is National Hot Mulled Cider Day, which is just in time as the leaves are falling and the weather is turning colder.

Friday kicked off early with Blue and Gold spirit day.  Then the Varsity athletes did their walk through the elementary, the elementary students were decked out in blue and gold and were very excited to see the Varsity athletes.

After the walk-through, we moved right into the pep rally where we honored all athletes of all levels and had some fun activities, such as the tug of war in which the Varsity Girls' Soccer team beat the Boys' Varsity Cross Country team.  That really got the crowd fired up.  Then we moved right into the JV and Varsity Volleyball games with both teams flexing their muscles in dominating their opponents. After the game, everyone rushed off to the Homecoming Dance, and after that wrapped up many athletes headed down to the soccer field to play some pickup games under the lights.

Saturday kicked off early with the Modified Boys' and Girls' Soccer teams playing on the Varsity field, and the Modified Volleyball team played and dominated on the court.  Then the Float parade kicked the evening off followed by Senior Athlete recognition then the Boys and Girls' Varsity soccer games.  We want to thank everyone who helped past week and weekend, from getting and setting up lights, decorating, organization festivities, alumni recognitions, and another year of an amazing concession stand.  THANK YOU ALL!!!
