ANNOUNCEMENTS/TODAY'S EVENTS

Today is not just Tuesday; it is Transformation Tuesday. That means success does not just come to you; you have to go out and get it, Eagle Nation!  Again, we want to send out a HUGE THANK YOU to OUR BOOSTER CLUB OFFICERS for helping run homecoming, Neahr Excavating & Alden Outdoor Services for transportation of the lights, and everyone who helped make homecoming and senior nights a huge success.

Check out the schedule, as we have an action-packed week. The calendar is about to turn to October, which means we are about to pass the halfway point of Fall sports.

HIGHLIGHTS

Golf Highlights

The Golf team fell to Johnstown yesterday, 4-11, as both teams battled the rain.  Andy Miller (42) and Colton Knickerbocker (44) both picked up two points each for the Eagles.  They fall to 4-6 in the league and 5-6 overall. The Eagles close out league play today as they host Duanesburg, then they have the WAC Cup on Friday.  Good Luck!

Volleyball Highlights

Congratulations to the 7th grade modified volleyball team for defeating Fonda last night in two sets. Scores were 25–12 and 25–13.
The 8th grade team fell to Fonda in a nail-biting 3-set match. Both teams move to 3–2 on the season.
Come watch them at home tonight as they take on Fort Plain starting at 4:30 PM.

Soccer Highlights

The Galway Modified girls soccer went to OESJ for a Monday evening game. The girls had strong momentum and shut out OESJ in the first half. Anna Ahsmann, Lindsie Grignon, and Evelyn Viana kept the defense tight and made OESJ’s offense work for touches on the ball. OESJ's only goal came from a corner kick, and the girls shut them out for the rest of the game. The final score was 0-1. The girls will be playing again later this week on Wednesday and Friday. Wednesday will be home against Berne-Knox-Westerlo.

The Modified boys' soccer team traveled to OESJ for a damp Monday afternoon game and won 4-1. Jaxon Palmateer led the way with a goal and two assists. Blake Bullock and Gavin Coulter each scored a goal. Phillip Denisio had a goal and assist, and Cj Anderson added an assist to round out the offense. Callan Stead, Richard Duncan, Bryan Shafer, and Ryker Chevalier played stellar defense. Gage Correra had a complete game in goal with 6 saves. The team improves to 4-1-1, and they play at home Wednesday against BKW at the town field.
