Congratulations Top 10 Graduating Seniors!

Valedictorian Abigail Conti is president of the Class of 2026, vice president of Science Club, vice president of Student Council, secretary of FFA, and treasurer of NHS. She is a member of Galway TV, Yearbook Club, Girl Scouts and Impressions. Abby has been an Academic Scholar throughout her high school career and a multi-sport student-athlete. She competed in varsity cheerleading for four years and was named WAC First Team All-Star. She also competed in the NYS Envirothon her senior year and is a weekly volunteer at Northway Church in the children's ministry. This past year she interned for Mrs. Levine's floriculture class and earned her Empire degree which is the highest honor students can receive at the state level of FFA. Abby is excited to attend Hamilton College where she will explore studies in environmental policies and community impact. She is the daughter of Marie and Joseph Conti of Galway.

Salutatorian Carter Larson is vice president of National Honor Society, president of the Galway Band, and the treasurer of Class of 2026. He is also an active member of Student Council, Science Club, Jazz Band, and is a morning anchor on Galway TV. He spent his fall playing varsity soccer for three years, and was captain his senior year. The past two years, he has extended his soccer career into the spring and winter by playing indoor and travel soccer. He was also on the track and field team his freshman year. Outside of school, he spends countless hours as an avid outdoorsman fishing and hunting. He plans on attending SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry for aquatic and fisheries science, and while there, will continue playing soccer and trombone. Carter is the son of Erik and Kara Larson of Middle Grove, and the older brother of Ava Larson.

Jane Lapati attended Fulton-Montgomery Community College as an Early Admission student during her senior year. Throughout her high school career, Jane consistently maintained Academic Scholar and received several awards including the Fredrick Douglas and Susan B. Anthony Award and the Student Sage Award. She was an active member of the creative community within the school, writing articles for Eagles Media Center (EMC), holding an officer position as the Historian for Impressions, and participating in the Drama Club as both an actor and a crew member since eighth grade. Jane is excited to attend Champlain College to pursue a game art degree this coming fall. She is the daughter of Meredith and Cory Lapati of West Charlton.

Julia Gillson is president of Science Club, member of National Honor Society, and member of GalwayTV. Julia has been an Academic Scholar throughout her high school career and a student-athlete. She ran varsity track for two years and competed in gymnastics for eight years. Julia is excited to attend Binghamton University where she will study biology on the pre-med track. She is the daughter of Melissa and Scott Gillson of Ballston Spa.

Madison Hoyt is a dedicated student who has made a positive impact throughout her high school years. She has been an Academic Scholar throughout all four years of high school and has shown commitment both inside and outside of the classroom. Madison played varsity volleyball for two years, where she showed teamwork and leadership on and off the court. She values the experiences, friendships, and opportunities she has gained and takes pride in being a positive role model. Madison is excited to attend Fulton-Montgomery Community College to pursue a degree in nursing and continue working toward a career focused on helping others. She is the daughter of Christie and Brett Hoyt of Galway.

Sean Gillson is the vice president of the Business Club. Throughout high school Sean maintained the honor of Academic Scholar and received awards for academic excellence such as the RIT Business and Leadership Award, National Merit Scholarship, and the Scholar Athlete Award for his time as a player for the basketball team. He plans to attend Siena University to study finance as a member of the honors program. Sean is the son of Melissa and Scott Gillson of Ballston Spa.

Sophia Fiorillo is vice-president of the Class of 2026 and vice-president of Student Council. As treasurer of FFA she won second place in NYS for her treasurer’s book . She is a member of the National Honor Society and Yearbook Club. Sophia has been a consistent Academic Scholar throughout her high school career and a student-athlete. She played varsity soccer for three years. Sophia is excited to attend Siena University where she will take part in the 3+2 Law Program and major in business administration. She is the daughter of Lindsey Fiorillo and Ralph Fiorillo of Providence.

Marleigh Morse is president of the Student Council and a member of Science Club, GTV, National Honor Society, and the E-Way Cafe. Marleigh has been an Academic Scholar throughout her high school career and a multi-sport student-athlete, playing varsity soccer for two years and running varsity track for four. Marleigh is excited to be attending Binghamton University in the fall where she will study biology on a pre-optometry track. She is the daughter of Bridget and Joseph Morse of Galway. 

Kateri Comensky is a compassionate and driven student who has made a lasting impact throughout her high school career through her involvement in FFA, Chamber Singers, and Faith and Friends. She also volunteered at STEP in Saratoga, where she dedicated her time to serving others in her community. Passionate about her Catholic faith, singing, and genetics, Kateri plans to attend Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina to major in biology. She is the proud daughter of John and Mary Comensky.

Max Sicard (missing from photo) is a multi-sport athlete who participated in basketball, baseball, and wrestling from grades 9-12. During his senior year of wrestling, he made it through the class tournament and participated in the State Qualifiers for sectionals. While taking multiple honors (college-credit bearing) classes, he has been an Academic Scholar and achieved the Merit Award for all four years of high school. Outside of school, he enjoys skiing, bowling, fishing, and working. Max is planning to attend SUNY Delhi for construction management while working with his own business.
