ANNOUNCEMENTS/TODAY'S EVENTS
Hello, Monday! Get up, be happy, and do great things today, and May the Fourth be with you, Eagle Nation! We hope you all had a great Derby weekend, and hopefully, some of you picked the winner. Hopefully, the weather warms up permanently. We are hitting the final stretch of the school year, so please make sure you are staying on top of things.
There was a lot of excitement on the diamond and track last night, so make sure you check out the scores and highlights.
The school year will be over before we know it, as we only have 28 class days left in high school, so make sure you stay on top of everything, so you pass all your classes and don't have to attend summer school.
Spring Sports will be over in the blink of an eye, with only a few games/meets left, so get out to catch some games and meets before it's too late. Varsity and JV sports regular season wrap up around the 16th, with modified teams finishing the following week.
As we get into the final stretch of the school year, remember there are many events, so keep tuned in, as there are a lot of moving parts.
ATHLETES, PLEASE REMEMBER TO GET YOUR FLOWER ORDERS IN FOR THE BOOSTER CLUB ASAP!!!! THEY ARE DUE THIS WEEK!!!!!!

 The Varsity Softball Team is also ranked #1 in the Times Union Class C Section 2 Rankings.

Softball Highlights
On Friday, the Varsity Softball team defeated Cobleskill-Richmondville in a WAC league showdown, 14-2. Emma Menge did it in the circle and at the plate. Emma picked up the win, going the distance, giving up 2 runs and striking out 9. At the plate, she had two singles and a double, including the walk-off hit to end the game by mercy rule, all while driving in 3 runs total. Lily Bain singled twice to drive in a run and scored 2 runs. Courtney Smith added 2 hits with an RBI and 3 runs scored. Samantha Becker tripled and singled, driving in a run. Kiera Allen added a single and 2 RBIs. Rylie Glenn and Sadie Stead each singled, driving in one run each. Avery Menge added a hit and 2 runs scored.
- On Saturday, the Varsity Softball team traveled to Luther Forest to take on Taconic Hills under the lights. Kiera busted open a 1-0 game in the bottom of the 3rd as she crushed a Grand Slam over the centerfield fence to give the Eagles a 5-0 lead, and from there the Eagles cruised to an 8-2 victory. Courtney Smith had a triple and a single with 2 RBIs to help pace the Eagles. Emma Menge picked up her second win in two days as she went the distance, allowing no earned runs, 5 hits, while striking out 7, and at the plate, she singled, driving in a run. Amelia Leclerc drew two lead-off walks, which led to her scoring twice to get the rallies started. Rylie Glenn had two singles and a walk to help the offense. The Eagles move to 12-2 overall. The Eagles finished up a busy week going 4-0. The #6 State-ranked Eagles return to action on Tuesday as they travel to take on #8 State-ranked BKW for a WAC and Class C showdown.

Track & Field Highlights
On Friday, the Track and Field team traveled to the Glens Falls Relays to compete against some great competition. Congratulations to the following:
- The 4x800 team of Burchac, Morris, Schaperjahn, and Bombard came in 2nd at the Glens Falls George Muse Relays.
- The 4x800 team of Josie Price, Gwen Ahsmann, Norah Schaperjahn, and Eva Anderson placed second overall.
- The 4x400 team of Josie Price, Gwen Ahsmann, Norah Schaperjahn, and Eva Anderson placed fourth overall

Baseball Highlights
The JV baseball team's effort to come back from down seven runs in the fourth inning came up just short, as they fell 9-7 to Schoharie. Theo Friedman led the Eagles with three hits and an RBI, while Jake Page added two hits. Camden Berlin, Jameson Roberts, Gabe Hampson, and Dominic Sartin also picked up hits for the Eagles, as they fell to 2-7 on the season. They are back in action today, traveling to Hadley-Luzerne.
