ANNOUNCEMENTS/TODAY'S EVENTS

TGIF, Eagle Nation! We made it through the first week back from break.  We have a long stretch to go, but we got this.  Friday is more than just the end of the work week; it's a powerful reminder of everything you've accomplished and how close you are to your goals. Mother Nature still seems unsure, as it'll be warm the next few days with chances of rain, but temperatures will fall quickly to start next week.

The school year will be over before we know it, so make sure you stay on top of everything.  Spring Sports will be over in the blink of an eye, so get out to catch some games and meets before it's too late.  Today we are in the New Moon phase.

As we get into the final stretch of the school year, remember that there are a lot of events, so keep tuned in

HIGHLIGHTS

Baseball

The JV Baseball team traveled to Fonda last night and came up short, falling 14-4.  The Eagles jumped out to a 4-2 lead, but Fonda answered with 9 runs in the bottom of the 4th to put them ahead for good.  Dominic Sartin, John Denisio, and Jake Page all had a hit for the Eagles.  The Eagles fall to 0-3 on the season and are back in action tomorrow morning as they host CFP.

Track & Field

  • The Galway modified track team had a good showing at their first meet of the season against Middleburgh and Schoharie yesterday. 
    8th grader Shaylynn McEvoy won the 200-meter dash and 400-meter run. She was third in the shot put. 
  • 8th-grader Annika Muller came in 2nd in the 2000 and 1st in the 100-meter dash. 
  • 8th grader Grace Brisk was 2nd in long jump 
  • 7th grader Jordy Bauer was 3rd.
  • 8th grader Cameron Dixon took 1st in the high jump.
  • 8th grader Kent McCort was first in the pole vault. 
  • 8th grader Jarek Leszcyznski won the shot and was 2nd in the 100-meter dash. 
  • 7th grader Wyatt Slozek took 4th place in the long jump. 
Come out and cheer the team on at their home meet on Monday.
