HIGHLIGHTS

Softball Highlights

Galway Softball opened its season with a non-league win over Plattsburgh.  The Eagles moved to 1-0 on the season as they cruised to a 13-0 victory over the Plattsburgh Hornets.  Emma Menge led the Eagles in the circle as she went the distance, striking out 12 and only giving up one hit; she added a single and an RBI at the plate.  Kiera Allen ended the game in the bottom of the 5th inning with a walk-off three-run home run over the left-center field fence.  Kiera finished the day 2 for 3 with a single, a homerun, a walk, two runs scored, and 3 RBIs.   Sadie Stead added two hits and two runs scored.  Courtney Smith had 4 walks and 4 runs scored, while Rylie Glenn added a single and an RBI, and Kristina Becker added a two-run single.

INFORMATION & HAPPENINGS

Cows can nap standing up, but sleep lying down. They doze on their feet, but need to lie down for deep sleep. Cows spend about 10-12 hours a day lying down, but they are not great sleepers. They only sleep about four hours a day.
