ANNOUNCEMENTS/TODAY'S EVENTS

It's Friday! Time to sparkle a little brighter today, Eagle Nation!  We have made it to the last day before break.  Only a few more hours, then a whole week of freedom.  We hope you have a great break.  Make sure you get lots of rest as we head into the next stretch of the school year.  Let's hope that the weather warms up and the snow starts to melt.  Only two days left of Winter Sports.  We had two exciting games last night on the hardwood that came down to the final seconds of both games.  Make sure to check out the highlights.  Wrestling State qualifiers are Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at the Glens Falls Civic Center.

HIGHLIGHTS

Girls Basketball Highlights

The Varsity Girls took on Berne Knox Westerlo last night in front of a packed gym full of supporters! Great job, Eagle nation!  The gym was rocking, and the girls battled in a tight game, with BKW on the ropes right down to the wire. Galway was up 1 with 14 seconds to go, when BKW guard Bella Daguillio hit a three with a foul and made the foul shot to put BKW up 56-53 as the final score. BKW finishes 13-0 in the league, and Galway 10-3 in the league and 14-5 overall. Lily Bain led the Eagles with 18 points, and Keira Allen finished with 17. Nora Schaperjahn had 8, and Lilly Jessop 6, while Eva Anderson and Sammy Becker rounded out the scoring column.  The Eagles travel to FMCC Saturday evening to play OESJ at 530 in their final game of the regular season.

  • The JV Girls Basketball wrapped up their season last night with an amazing defensive game.  It was a back-and-forth battle that came down to the final second.  The Eagles pulled out an mazinf 31-29 victory.  Mara Allen led the Eagles with 13 points.  Nadia LaBate added 8 points.
