ANNOUNCEMENTS/TODAY'S EVENTS

Hello Monday! Start your week with a deep breath, a smile, and a heart and mind full of positive energy, Eagle Nation.  It is another brutally cold morning as the Arctic air just won't seem to move away from us.  Hopefully, it warms up soon. The end of Winter Sports is this week, and the Modified teams wrap up their seasons tonight, so come out to support them.  The Boys JV and Varsity play at home on Wednesday, and the Girls JV and Varsity play at home on Thursday.  

Spring Sports Registration is open for JV and Varsity Sports.  See the link below.  What did everyone think of the Super Bowl last night?  The Olympics are in full swing, and there has been a lot of excitement.

HIGHLIGHTS

Girls Basketball Highlights

The Eagles fell to Johnstown, 32-15, on Saturday after going down 10-0 in the first quarter. The girls were able to adjust to even out scoring in the second half of the game. Gracie Gregory, Brooklynee Taylor, Natalie Carella, and Lily Chevalier contributed to team scoring. The girls move to 6-7 on the season. They will look to finish strong with their final game of the season on Monday night against Canajoharie.

Boys Basketball Highlights

The 7th Grade Modified dropped a heartbreaker to Johnstown on Saturday, 44-47.  Jameson Roberts and Johnny Schaperjahn each had 13 points for the Eagles. The team moves to 10-3 on the season.

The 8th Grade Modified fell to Johnstown on Saturday, 23-48.  Jake Page had 12 points for the Eagles. The team moves to 8-5 on the season.

Cheerleading Highlights

The Cheer Squad travelled to Colonie on Saturday to compete against several larger schools.  The Eagles placed 6th on the day. They are back in action on Sunday at Broadlabin-Perth.

Wrestling Highlights
  • The Wrestling team competed in the Class D Sectionals at Cambridge on Saturday.  The Eagles placed 6th overall as a team.  The Eagles placed 5 wrestlers in the top 4, which means they all move onto State Qualifiers this Saturday at the Glens Falls Civic Center at 9:00 a.m.
  • Kolt Wojtowecz - Placed 1st and Won Class D Sectionals at 150 lbs.
  • Andrew Grupe - Placed 3rd at 103 lbs
  • Jorden Grupe - Placed 3rd at 110lbs
  • Kai Denisulk - Placed 4th at 138 lbs
  • Max Sicard - Placed 4th at 157 lbs
