ANNOUNCEMENTS/TODAY'S EVENTS

Wishing you all a beautiful and inspiring Friday, Eagle Nation.  It was a quiet night at the Nest as only the Modified Girls Basketball team had a scrimmage.  It is another quiet evening as we have no athletic events tonight, but we have Modified Basketball and Wrestling Sectionals tomorrow, along with Cheer at Colonie.  We are looking at record low temperatures over the weekend.  Make sure you have your gas tanks filled up, and you dress properly if you head out anywhere over the weekend.  It is also Super Bowl weekend.  Who does everyone have winning, or do you watch for the commercials?  The Olympic Opening  Ceremonies are tonight. There is just one week left of Winter Sports, except for a few teams participating in Sectionals, so get out to catch some action while you still can. 

Remember, keep it classy, Eagle Nation!

Wrestling had its seeding meeting for Classes last night.  We have a few wrestlers who drew top-four seeds.  They wrestle tomorrow at Cambridge.  See the link below for Tickets.  Any wrestler who finishes in the top four gets to move on to the qualifiers next weekend at the Glens Falls Civic Center.

Cows have eyes in the back of their heads. Well, not quite, but they do have an impressive range of vision. Because their eyes are at the sides of their heads, cows can see movement across 300°. When they put their heads down to graze, that range increases to almost the full 360°. That’s a lot more than our measly 180°!  We do have some advantages over cows, though. They’re colourblind to red and green, seeing these as shades of black and grey. So, the take-home here is that you’ll struggle to sneak up on a cow, but at least they won’t question your fashion choices!
