ANNOUNCEMENTS/TODAY'S EVENTS

Happy Wednesday, EAGLE NATION!  Keep your face always toward the sunshine, and shadows will fall behind you.  It is Senior Night for the Girls' Basketball team tonight.  The ceremony will take place between the JV and Varsity Game tonight.  Tomorrow night, we have Senior Night for the Wrestling team. Come out and show your support.  The Winter Sports season has only two and a half weeks left, so come out and see the action while you still can.

    • The WAC League Modified Spring Sports Start Date will now be March 23rd.

HIGHLIGHTS

Wrestling Highlights

The Varsity Wrestling team hosted Mechanicville-Stillwater in a non-league contest last night to tune up for Sectionals.  The Eagles came up short, 23-54. Andrew Grupe, Kolt Wojtowecz, Max Sicard, and Michael Peters all picked up wins for the Eagles.  Tomorrow night, the Eagles close out their regular season as they host Scotia-Glenville for Senior Night.

HAPPENINGS & INFORMATION

We are one week away from the Winter Olympics.  Events, including curling, kick off on February 4th with the Opening Ceremonies on the 6th.  The Games conclude on February 22nd, which ends with the Women's Gold Medal Game in Curling.  
The USA Men's Hockey team kicks off on February 12th, and the USA Women's Hockey team opens on the 5th.  Here is the Olympics

    • The Long Range Threat gets his name from years of playing for the GTA team and being lightsout with the Rock from deep behind the three-point line.

Only two spots left on the GTA roster.  Can you believe the team is almost complete?  Our next member is a new member to the GTA, and is the partner and crime of The Long Range Threat.  They are going to be a dynamic duo on the court.  She is also one of everyone's favorite teachers in the elementary school.  She comes in at 5'7 and will be playing guard.  Can you figure out who it is?
