ANNOUNCEMENTS/TODAY'S EVENTS
Happy Thursday, EAGLE NATION! Greet your problems and decisions with peace and calm. Reminder that Varsity Jackets have arrived. Please make sure you stop by to pick them up in the Guidance Office ASAP.
Don't forget we have a lot going on currently at Eagle Nation. We have raffle tickets (only 5 dollars) for a Syracuse vs. North Carolina Basketball game for sale for a truly great cause. Please let me know if you want to buy some tickets. The Booster Club is selling Bundt Cakes, and it is Cancer Week here at Eagles Nation as we have games lined up all week. Last night we had the 3rd & 4th grade and 5th & 6th grade foul shooting contest finals for the girls. Layla Benosky and Paige Graff dueled it out for 3/4th grade, and Avery Wood and Anna Smith battled it out for 5/6th grade. The boys' foul shooting will be on Friday at halftime of the JV Boys Basketball game.
Come out and support a great cause. This year, we play in memory of community member, Shelley Schaperjahn. Donations from ribbon sales will support the Saratoga Hospital Patient Cancer Fund, which goes directly to patients to help with medical bills, groceries, and other everyday needs during treatment. Join us in the stands to honor Shelley, support those currently fighting cancer, and be part of something bigger than the game. Every ribbon and every donation makes a difference

We have announced a few members of the Teachers Squad, as they have signed their contracts with the GTA Squad, but who else is on the roster? Our next member stands at 5'7" and is a point guard. She is also one of every student's favorite teachers. Who knows our next member??? Tune in tomorrow to find out. We continue to work on signing more talent before the game.

Randall Syracuse Ticket Raffle
Eagle Nation, we are looking for your help!!!! Tragedy struck an athlete's family in our league, and we are helping the Canahoharie Booster Club sell raffle tickets to a Syracuse Men's Basketball game through our Booster Club. One of the Canajoharie players, Senior Dillan Randall, tragically lost his step-mother, Braylynn Fahy, in a car accident on December 1st. Dillan is the same player whose father was killed last January in a tragic accident while repairing his mailbox. Dillan and his two younger brothers, who attend Fort Plain, have suffered unimaginable loss in less than a year, losing both their father and mother/stepmother. To show our support, we are joining forces to raffle off four tickets and a parking pass to the Syracuse versus North Carolina men's basketball game on February 21st (flyer attached) that were graciously donated by Empower Federal Credit Union! Tickets are $5 each and will be available for purchase at all home games or by reaching out to Coach Glenn (mglenn@galwaycsd.org). The winner will be drawn on February 13th at halftime of the Galway Varsity Boys at the Canajoharie Basketball Game. The winner does not need to be present to claim the tickets! All proceeds from the raffle will be donated directly to the family. We have 100 tickets to sell, and I am hoping we can sell all 100 to help support Dillan and his family!
