ANNOUNCEMENTS/TODAY'S EVENTS

Thursday is the perfect day to decide what you can do right now to make this the best week ever, EAGLE NATION!  We are all starting to get back into the groove of school just as the weekend is near.  We had some exciting games on the hardwood last night.  Make sure to check out the highlights.  We have a home wrestling match today, and the weather looks like we will be getting it in.  The weather forecast indicates warmer temperatures over the next week, with some rain mixed in, which hopefully will lead to seeing green grass.  Remember to check out our schedules below as we are into the heart of the Winter Sports Season.  Next week, we will be hosting our Coaches vs. Cancer week, so come out to support a great cause.

Mr. Kirvin is pumped for March 6th for the Teachers vs. DJ's game.  He is dusting off his old basketball sneakers to put on a dominating performance, including a dunk this year!!!!!  He is still debating whether he'll throw it down one-handed or two-handed, or get an alley-oop.

Old Man Winter seems to be playing nice for the next few days, as we will finally be above freezing for the first time in several days.  Hopefully, we have a January thaw soon. Think Spring!

1 Acre of corn removes up to 8 tons of Carbon Dioxide from the air

Remember, keep it classy, Eagle Nation!

Randall Syracuse Ticket Raffle
Eagle Nation, we are looking for your help!!!!  Tragedy struck an athlete's family in our league, and we are helping the Canahoharie Booster Club sell raffle tickets to a Syracuse Men's Basketball game through our Booster Club.
One of the Canajoharie players, Senior Dillan Randall, tragically lost his step-mother, Braylynn Fahy, in a car accident on December 1st.  Dillan is the same player whose father was killed last January in a tragic accident while repairing his mailbox.  Dillan and his two younger brothers, who attend Fort Plain, have suffered unimaginable loss in less than a year, losing both their father and mother/stepmother.  To show our support, we are joining forces to raffle off four tickets and a parking pass to the Syracuse versus North Carolina men's basketball game on February 21st (flyer attached) that were graciously donated by Empower Federal Credit Union! Tickets are $5 each and will be available for purchase at all home games or by reaching out to Coach Glenn (mglenn@galwaycsd.org).   The winner will be drawn on February 13th at halftime of the Galway Varsity Boys at the Canajoharie Basketball Game.  The winner does not need to be present to claim the tickets!  All proceeds from the raffle will be donated directly to the family.  We have 100 tickets to sell, and I am hoping we can sell all 100 to help support Dillan and his family!
