It's Monday! Don't forget to be awesome, EAGLE NATION! It is Spirit Week here at the Eagles Nest. Make sure to stop by and see Mr. Kirivin's Holiday PJs today. Old Man Winter has started strong this winter as he just keeps bringing snow and frigid cold air. It looks like some more snow towards the end of the week. It feels like February weather already this winter. Think Spring!
It takes two years for one pineapple to grow. Pineapples may seem easy to come by when the grocery stores are stocked. But the process from field to plate is much longer than you might expect. It takes between 18 and 36 months from the time they are planted for pineapple plants to yield fruit that you can harvest and consume.

The Galway Youth Commission has first-come, first-served, full-access individual day passes to the Fulton County YMCA for over the holiday break! Please pick up from the Galway Town Hall on Tuesday, December 16th, through Thursday, December 18th, between 7:00 a.m. & 5:00 p.m. If you can’t make it on those days and times, please text Samantha Price (518) 866-4360, and she can meet you.

Girls Basketball Highlights
The Modified Golden Eagles held Mayfield scoreless in the first half, earning their first win of the season. Brooklynee Taylor led the defensive effort with multiple steals. Gracie Gregory recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Lilly Chevalier added 6 points, and Brooklynee Taylor chipped in 5. It was a great team effort and the first win of the season by the score of 28-14. Congratulations to the team!

Boys Basketball Highlights
The Varsity Boys Basketball team fell to Mayfield 57 to 42 on Friday night. Hayden Flint led Galway scorers with 20 points, and Sam Reedy chipped in 8. The Eagles were able to put eight different players in the scoring column for Galway. The Eagles fall to 0-5 on the season. The Boys travel to Cobleskill tonight to take on the Bulldogs.
- The JV Boys Basketball team fell to the Mayfield Panthers in a tough battle, 51-42. The Eagles fall to 2-2 on the season. The Boys travel to Cobleskill tonight to take on the Bulldogs.

The 8th Grade Boys Modifed team picked up their first victory of the season with a 48-21 win over Mayfield 21
Jake Page led the Eagles with 28 points and 6 for 7 from the line. Henry Pasieka, Vann Sowle, and Theo Friedman each added 4 points.

The 7th Grade Boys Modified Basketball team pulled out a close win over Mayfield, as they squeaked past Mayfield, 33-30, on Saturday at Galway High School. Rex Gardinier scored 11 points to lead Galway.
Trailing 13-11, Mayfield went on a run to take the lead. Galway captured the win despite trailing 16-13 at halftime and then trailing 26-20. The Eagles went on an 11-2 run to take the lead. The Eagles outscored Mayfield 15-8 in the fourth quarter. The Eagles stood tall, blocking three shots in the game. Johnny Schaperjahn led the team with three blocks. Jameson Roberts and Jaeden Edwards each collected five rebounds to lead Galway on the glass. Additional scorers for Galway included Jameson Roberts (8 points), CJ Anderson (5 points), Jaeden Edwards (5 points), Johnny Schaperjahn (2 points), and Avery Albarelli (2 points).
