He just has the faith and deep understanding that through his daily efforts, the harvest will come.  Congratulations to the Girls' Varsity Soccer team as they defeated CFP last night and also raised $148 for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation by holding a penalty-kicking contest after their game last night.  Thank you, team, and also to everyone who came out last night to support an incredible cause.  Next week, a number of our teams will be hosting Pink Games.

HIGHLIGHTS

Volleyball Highlights
Congratulations to the Modified volleyball 8th-grade team for defeating Duanesburg last night with set scores of 25-15 and 25-7.  C.C. Verret led the team with 6 aces and 13 total service points. Emma DiPasquale and Lily Chevalier chipped in with 4 aces and 2 assists each.

Girls Soccer Highlights

Galway came out strong in their Pink Out Game win over Canajoharie–Fort Plain. The Golden Eagles struck first when Norah Schaperjahn set up Olivia Davison Gauss, who fired a shot from 20 yards out to find the net. Schaperjahn later showed her speed, beating the defense to her own ball and finishing unassisted to make it 2–0 at the half. 

In the second half, Galway dominated play and created several dangerous chances, but couldn’t add to the scoreline.

With the victory, the Golden Eagles improve to 6–3 overall and 4–2 in league play. They’ll look to keep the momentum going on Friday on the road against Northville.

The girls were able to raise $148 for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation during their penalty kick contest after the game. Thank you to everyone who came out to support!

Boys Soccer Highlights
The Boys Varsity Soccer team traveled to Fort Plain yesterday to take on CFP.  It was a physical back-and-forth game. CFP scored in the first half on a controversial goal after it was kicked out of the hands of Galway's goalkeeper Hayden Flint. Later in the first half, Galway had a goal of their own taken off the board after the refs stopped play.  Galway's goalie Hayden Flint would have yet another 10-save game. Galway falls to 3-8-1 on the season.

Golf Highlights
 The Golf Team traveled to Amsterdam Muni yesterday for the WAC Championship.   Andy Miller finished 5th overall. Way to go, Andy!!!!!!  The team finished 8th out of 9 teams.   Overall, the golf team had some individual strong performances yesterday.  Andy Miller finished in the top 5 with an 83 over 18 holes.  Matthew Jones shot a 99, and both Cody Lanka and Colton Knickerbocker each finished with 102 to round out the scoring.  Nice job!
