ANNOUNCEMENTS/TODAY'S EVENTS

Happy Monday, EAGLE NATION!!!! We hope that you have an amazing week.  There were some great sporting events over the weekend. Make sure to check out the results and highlights. It is going to be another week of no rain, so be sure to conserve water as the drought continues. Tonight, our Boys Soccer team travels to Cobleskill-Richmondville, and our Golf team travels to Hales Mills to take on Gloversville.  Make sure to get out and support our athletes.  

  • We have started the sale of our Varsity Jackets early this year, so we can end the sales in early October, and will be able to have them in time for Christmas.  Please see the link below for registration.  

Homecoming week is the week of September 22 - 27.

HIGHLIGHTS

Volleyball Highlights

Congratulations to the Varsity volleyball team as they won their annual Never Forget Tournament in honor of 9/11 for the 6th straight year. The Eagles went undefeated on the day as they went 6-0 in pool play, then swept through the playoffs. They defeated Hoosic Valley in the semis 25-16 and 25-22.  They then defeated Greenville in the Championship game 25-12 and 25-11.  The Eagles were led on the day by Keira Allen, as she amassed 47 kills, 6 aces, 6 blocks ,and 38 digs on the day.  Courtney Smith added 26 kills, 16 digs, and 11 aces.  Taylor Garrison chipped in with 16 kills and 5 blocks for the day. Kenzie Gardiner dished out 51 assists on the day, and Kristina Becker had 33 assists. Sadie Stead anchored the defense with 48 digs on the day, while Teigen Breenan served up 14 aces to go with 10 kills.
  • The Modified Gold Team opened its season play with a very impressive win over Holy Trinity in League play as they came out strong and controlled the entire match.

Cross Country Highlights

The Galway Varsity XC team traveled to the Mad River Glenn area in Vermont to compete in the very challenging Hardwood Invitational.
Gabe Mele led the boys with a 22nd place, and Ailey Nelson led the girls with a 28th place. 
The girls were incomplete, but the boys finished in 6th place.  Congratulations to all the runners who ran up those mountains and finished the race

Sophia Fiorillo

Sophia plays with nonstop hustle. Whether it’s practice or in-game, she gives 100% and helps set the tone for her teammates. Her energy and effort don’t go unnoticed! Great job, Sophia.
