ANNOUNCEMENTS/TODAY'S EVENTS Happy Thursday, EAGLE NATION!!!!!! Have a great, positive, and beautiful day. It is going to be a scorcher today, so make sure you stay cool and hydrated. Surprise, surprise, more rain is moving in for the weekend. Last night, we hosted our Athletic Wall of Fame, Milestones, and All-State Ceremony. Congratulations to all our new members. This afternoon and tomorrow afternoon, we have some members of our Track and Field Team competing at State Qualifiers. Good Luck, Eagles.
Below is the information on Fall Sports physicals. Also, a reminder that the Fall Sports Start Date has been changed. JV and Varsity sports will start on August 18th, and Modified Sports will start on August 25th.Remember, keep it classy, Eagle Nation

We want to give a huge SHOUT OUT to our TRAP team, as they won the Hudson Falls Challenge for the second year in a row. Way to go, everyone!!!!! We didn't have any information on the event to be able to post until last night. See the highlights below, as it was an exciting day that came down to the last shot and a tie-breaker. This year, Galway won the team event again after a tie with the Berlin Mountaineers. The tie breaker went to the highest score, which was Wyatt Mead with a 25 straight! Wyatt shot his perfect score on the last relay of the day, so in a nail-biter finish, Galway came out victorious!
This weekend, they are off to the State Championship on Sunday, 6/8 at Bridgeport Rod and Gun Club in Cicero, NY. Good luck, everyone!!

Sports Physicals
The next sports physicals at school are on Wednesday, Aug 6th at 8:00.
Students need to sign up ahead of time.
Any parent or student can check in with the school nurse if they are unsure if they need one.

NYSPHSAA voted unanimously to move this coming Fall sports date ahead a full week. Here are the new start dates for Fall 2025 Sports

HIGHLIGHTS |
Trap Highlights On Sunday, 6/1, the Galway Jr Trap Team competed in the regional Foothills Challenge Championship at Hudson Falls Fish & Game Club. They competed against 25 schools and about 230 student-athletes. Last year, Galway swept away the competition and won the team event, setting a record for this event.
This year, Galway won the team event again after a tie with the Berlin Mountaineers. The tie breaker went to the highest score, which was Wyatt Mead with a 25 straight! Wyatt shot his perfect score on the last relay of the day, so in a nail-biter finish, Galway came out victorious!
Galway also walked away with 2 individual medals from the competition. Tyler Bombard won gold in the JV event, shooting a 24 and a 21. Congratulations, Tyler!
Piper Nelson took home a bronze medal in the Varsity girls division with a pair of 21s. Great shooting, Piper!
We had some amazing, solid scores that contributed to our victory.
Josh Armitage shot a 21 and a 20.
Jake Bickford had 2 great rounds with a 21 and a 23.
Kellen Crames started with a 17 but finished his last round strong with a 21!
Marek Jesionowski and Kaleb Johnson had a fantastic final event together as seniors; they both shot the same scores of 20 and 23 in their rounds, an outstanding finish to their last season on the team.
Lilly Jessop shot solid scores of 18 and 20.
Maggie Newsom shot a 17 and 21.
Seth Kenyon shot 2 solid scores of 20.
Matt McCray had a fantastic day with a 22 and a 23.
Aeden La Bate has been working hard this season to improve his scores, and he shot well over his average with a pair of 16s, nice work!
Ailey Nelson also shot well over her season average with a 16 and an 18 in competition.
Jamison Ramsey had a rough first round, but rallied and came through with a 16 on his second round. Great work!
Hailey Reome had a 14 and a 19.
Stacey Windsor did great with an 18 and a 21.
Natalie Winner shot well over her season average with a 10 and an 11. She has put in so much work this season, we are proud of her progress.
Addy Ross, another senior, had a great day on the range with a 16 and 20. Great work, Addy!
We are so thankful to have so many dedicated students and parents, This was a fantastic and fun event.
