ANNOUNCEMENTS/TODAY'S EVENTS

The beauty of Thursday is in the momentum; you've got your stride, so keep going, EAGLE NATION!!!!!! MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND is here!!!!!!!!!!! Reminder that we are off Friday through Monday, and we return to classes on Tuesday.  Take time to relax, recharge, and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and freedom.

What an exciting night on the diamond at Eagle Nation last night.  The Varsity Baseball team won their opening round play-in Sectional Game 6-5 over Waterford-Halfmoon, and travels today to play Canajoharie.  See the highlights below.  If today's site is changed, the game will be moved to the Schoharie Turf Field for a 6:30 p.m. start.  If the game is at Schoharie, please arrive early or take Route 443 to Rickard Hill Road, as there will be road closures in town due to their Memorial Day Parade

The Varsity Softball team defeated Saratoga Catholic in the Section 2 Quarterfinals last night to advance to the Semi-Finals for the first time since 1997, as they picked up their 18th win of the season, and looking back at records it looks to be a new school record for wins as the highest win total previous that can be found is 17 wins in a season that was reached three previous times.  They will host Maple Hill on Tuesday, the 27th, in the Sectional Semi-Finals at 5:00 p.m.  Check out the highlights below.

Track and Field will travel to Waterford-Halfmoon on Thursday, the 29th, for their Sectional competition.

Today's Modified Baseball game at Cobleskill-Richmondville has been cancelled.

Check out the schedule below for the season (please know that weather can cause dates and times to be subject to change for games and events).

Remember, keep it classy, Eagle Nation

Help Us Shape the Next Capital Project

We invite Galway CSD community members to help us shape the next Capital Project by participating in the following public input sessions in the Junior/Senior High School Library:
  • Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. for an abbreviated session called Coffee and Questions during the Galway Booster Club Car Wash and Can Drive fundraiser
Following the defeat of the Capital Project that was proposed in December 2023, the Board of Education Facilities Committee members have been listening to residents’ concerns and discussing the infrastructure needs that were not included in the 2016 Capital Project.
  • The majority of these needs were identified as critical in the district’s most recent Building Condition Survey (completed in 2020)
  • Some of these needs include work that voters passed in the 2021 Small Capital Project that focused on the bus garage, but could not be completed due to cost escalation during and after the COVID-19 pandemic
For archival information on all of our recent Capital Projects, and information on the work that is being considered for the next Capital Project, please click on the Facilities webpage here

Congratulations to the Varsity Softball team as they are now ranked  #7 in the State Class C rankings.

Congratulations to Avery Menge, as she was selected by the Times Union as one of the top performers of the week for her performance throwing a no-hitter last week.
