ANNOUNCEMENTS/TODAY'S EVENTS

Friday is a day to celebrate the hard work of the week.  Let's finish strong and head into the weekend on a high note, EAGLE NATION!!!!!!   It's one more week until Spring Break, so let's have a good weekend of relaxation, laughter, and good vibes.  Don't forget to come out for some athletic events this weekend and next week as Spring sports are gearing up into full action. The JV baseball opens its season today at home Lansingburgh, while Varsity Softball travels to Schalmont.  On Saturday, the Varsity Track & Field team will attend the Guilderland Invitational.

Make sure you get out this weekend to see the drama club's presentation of James and the Giant Peach in the high school auditorium.

Check out the schedule below for the season (please know that weather can cause dates and times to be subject to change for games and events).

  • Athletes must participate in a certain number of practices before being eligible for a scrimmage or a game/meet. Softball, track, and field athletes need 6 practices, and Baseball athletes need 10 practices.

    • This is a NYSPHSAA Rule.

Remember, keep it classy, Eagle Nation!

Fun fact of the day: Panda bears spend the majority of their waking hours eating. They have been known to eat for 12 hours straight.  (It sounds like Panda bears and myself have the same thought process)

  • 45 more class days left of school for Jr/Sr High

  • 52 Days till Memorial Day

  • 91 Days till the 4th of July

Baseball Highlights

The Varsity Baseball team opened its season on the road last night as they traveled to Hadley-Luzerne to take on the Section 2 Class D defending Champions.  The Eagles kept it close through the first three innings, but Hadley-Luzerne busted it open in the bottom of the fourth as they pushed across 8 runs en route to an 11-0 victory.   Seth Kenyon led the way for the Eagles, picking up Galway's only two hits as he smashed a double and a triple.  The Eagles fall to 0-1 on the season and open WAC League play on Monday as they travel to Fort Plain.
