ANNOUNCEMENTS/TODAY'S EVENTS

The weekend is right around the corner. Time to recharge and enjoy some well-deserved relaxation Eagle Nation!!!  We are hoping for the Varsity jackets to be in within the next week.  The cold still has a strong hold on us with the trend continuing through over another next week, so you might as well get out of the cold and catch some athletic events.  Our Varsity Girls' Basketball hosts Duanesburg tonight.  We've had several schedule changes, so please keep checking our schedule updates below.  Three days till the next Full Moon and 69 days till Spring.

HIGHLIGHTS

Girls Basketball Highlights

The Girls Modified hosted Fonda last night.  The Eagles battled hard all night but the Riverhawks had a sharp shooting guard that proved to be too much for the Eagles as the Fonda went on to a 50-35 victory.  Kenzie Gardiner led the way for the Eagles with 16 points.  Katy Ferguson added 8 points, Avery Menge chipped in 5 points and Rylie Glenn had 4 points for the Eagles.

ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

Avery Menge

Avery brings competitive energy into practices and games, which helps push her teammates to improve daily. She is a big contributor in rebounding for our modified team and is also averaging 6 points per game. Avery displays good leadership on and off the court, which is a quality of a Golden Eagle.

Evan Schaperjahn

Evan Schaperjahn knocked down two clutch free throws to send the JV Basketball team into the Championship game at the Riverhawk tourney, which was also their first win. After getting stitches from the previous game, Evan then played in the championship after getting stitches from the previous game led in scoring and the defensive front to secure the championship.  Evan works hard in practice daily and is a leader on the court for his teammates.
