ANNOUNCEMENTS/TODAY'S EVENTS

I hope your Tuesday is filled with joy, laughter, and smiles on Candy Cane Day, EAGLE NATION! We are into the home stretch heading into Christmas Break. We got this Eagle Nation!!!!!! We have some above-normal temperatures today and tomorrow, but get ready to buddle up Eagle Nation as temperatures turn frigid come Friday. We have a lot of action on the hardwood and mats this week, and over the Holiday break with a number of our teams partaking in Holiday Tournaments, so check out the schedule below. No athletic events are on the docket today as we have the Grade 1-5 Holiday Concert. The Moon will still be shining bright as we start to move away from a full moon heading to the 3rd quarter moon.

Did you know? It’s hard to imagine a basketball game today with such a low score, but the first official game of basketball ended with a score of 1-0. This demonstrates how difficult scoring was in the early days of the sport, especially since the baskets were peach baskets and had no hole at the bottom.

ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Hailey Reome

Hailey Reome is an exceptional teammate and community member. Hailey is dedicated to making the cheerleading team better each day. She is willing to help new members learn cheers and dances without hesitation. Recently, Hailey had the idea to send birthday cards to an alumna/community resident who turned 100 years old! She provided birthday cards for each team member to decorate and Hailey delivered them to the resident. We are thankful to have Hailey as a Golden Eagle!
