ANNOUNCEMENTS/TODAY'S EVENTS
Welcome Back EAGLE NATION! Hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend and took a few moments to thank our Veterans. It was a busy weekend for Eagle Nation as the Boys' Cross Country and Girls Volleyball competed for Sectional Titles on Saturday.
CONGRATULATIONS to the Boys' Varsity Cross Country Team as they won the Section 2 Class D Championship. They Defeated the next closest team (Maple Hill) by 15 points. The boys move on to compete at the State Championships on Saturday at Queensbury! The last time the Galway Boys won XC Sectionals was in 1999.

The Varsity Volleyball team, who advanced to their 6th straight Sectional Finals, including four consecutive championships, fell short in a battle with Stillwater. Congratulations on a great season Eagles

Today is National Pizza with the works except anchovies Day! It is also National Chicken Soup for the Soul Day!!!!

Volleyball Highlights
The Varsity Volleyball team, which has been on one of the greatest sports runs in school history, advanced to their 6th straight Sectional Finals, including four consecutive championships, but fell short in a battle with Stillwater. Their run has included 9 consecutive league championships including a current 84-game winning streak in the league. In the Championship match, Sophia Dugan led the way for the Eagles with 10 kills and 13 Digs, while Courtney Smith had 9 kills, 3 blocks, and 16 assists. Bridey Flint and Taylor Garrison each added 6 kills, while Kaylee Collabello added 24 digs.

Cross Country Highlights
Congratulations to the XC teams who competed at Sectionals on Saturday, located at Queensbury High School.
Amelia Jordan finished in 13th place and Elenor Douglas finished in 16th place, for the Class D Sectional Race.
The boys XC team won Class D Sectionals by defeating the next closest team by 14 points.
Trevor Bombard, Simon Evans, and Cody Schneider all finished in the top 10.
Tyler Bombard, Nathanial McDivit, Brayden Sheft, and Jacob Burchac all finished in the top 25.
The last time the Galway Boys won XC Sectionals was in 1999.
The Galway XC Teams would like to thank the following for their great support: the bus drivers, the booster club, the parents, the Administrators, Mr. Glenn, Mr. O'Breirne, and the coaches, Mrs. Decker and Mr. Evans.
Galway boys will be competing in the New York State Championships, next weekend.
