ANNOUNCEMENTS/TODAY'S EVENTS

It's Tuesday EAGLE NATION, which means one more step closer to the weekend!!!  We have a full slate of away events today.  The Cross Country teams travel to Johnstown to wrap up the WAC regular season, and the JV and Varsity Volleyball teams travel to Duanesburg. 


The Girls' Varsity Soccer team received the #10 seed in the Section 2 Class C Sectional Bracket. They will travel to Bolton on Friday to play the #7 seed of Bolton-Warrensburg at 3:00 p.m.   GOOD LUCK EAGLES!!!!!!
  • The game will be played at Bolton CSD.  The school address is :
    26 Horicon Ave. Bolton Landing, NY 12814
    • The field is actually at the bottom of the hill below the high school,  next to the firehouse.  The Firehouse address is:
      • 5003 Lake Shore Drive. Bolton Landing, NY

  • There are a few happenings at Eagle Nation this week outside of sports.  PTSA Family Fun Night is on Thursday in the elementary school.  
  • The Galway Friends of Music hosts their annual Coffeehouse on Friday at 7:00 p.m. in the High School Gym. 
  •  Friday is also Dress like the '50s. 

Today is National  Make a Dog's Day, so if you have a dog/puppy make sure to give them a good treat or pick up a new toy.  Today is also National Tavern Style Pizza Day.  Now that sounds like a good dinner plan.

  • Eagle Nation as you sign up for Winter sports please make sure to upload the latest physical on the registration and check with Nurse Horne should you wish to verify we have the updated physical.
  • We are working with the Doctor's office for our sports physical date, but they are having a new computer system installed and are unavailable first 2 weeks of November.

HIGHLIGHTS

Volleyball Highlights

The JV Volleyball team traveled to Schuylerville last night to take on the Horses.  JV Volleyball swept Schuylerville with scores of 25-16 and 25-19. The team was led by Amelia Leclerc in kills, Makaela Muzzy in digs, and Kenzie Gardinier in assists. The team moves to 12-1 overall. The team looks to keep their undefeated league record tonight as they play undefeated Duanesburg.

  • Both Modified Volleyball teams continued their awesome seasons as they both defeated Johnstown.  The Eagles travel to Broadalbin on Thursday and Mayfield on Friday.

Girls Soccer Highlights

The Modified Girls Soccer team wrapped up their season last night with another thrilling 1-0 victory over the Middleburgh Knights.  Josie Venditti scored the lone goal for the Eagles. The girls finished the season at 10-2.  Way to go EAGLES!!!

Boys Soccer Highlights

The Modified Boys Soccer team wrapped up their season last night with a thrilling 2-1 victory over the Middleburgh Knights.  Jorde Grupe scored the first goal for the Eagles to make it 1-0 before Middleburgh tied it at 1-1.  Then Jameson Forneris found the back of the net on a beautiful cross from Sean Phillips. Theo Friedman was a monster in the goal turning back several Middleburgh shots.
