Mr. Maliszewski's economic classes and Mrs. Pellet's business classes competed in the Stock Market Challenge at UAlbany in late March. The Stock Market Challenge is a Junior Achievement program where the students learn about the stock market with the help of the business world volunteers who come into the classroom. Steven Brewer, who works at the Kesselring Nuclear Site volunteered in economic classes to help prepare the students. Galway came in second in the School Awards as its teams collectively achieved the 2nd highest average net worths. Out of 117 teams Galway's top finishing team, Runs on Dunkin came in 6th. The team was composed of:  Abby Conti, Kara Ferguson, Cassie Ten Eyck and Kateri Comensky. Galway had six teams which finished in the top half of the competition.
