Galway’s UPK program had the opportunity to become pen pals with UPK students in the Greater Amsterdam School District. Each month, we posed a question so the students could get to know each other better. Some of the questions included: What is your favorite color? What do you like to do when you are at school?  

The pen pal program gave students the opportunity to expand their drawing and pre-writing skills, make new friends, and learn about other children their age who attend another school. We ended our program with a Meet and Greet in which the pen pals finally got to meet face-to-face, play on the playground, and enjoy popsicles together!
