Galway BOE Announces Next Junior/Senior High School Principal

The Galway Central School District Board of Education, at its regular meeting on March 27, 2025, appointed Mr. Samuel Ratti-Robinson as the next Junior/Senior High School principal. This appointment will take effect July 1, 2025 when current Galway Junior/Senior High School Principal Mr. Michael Miller will assume his duties as superintendent of the district.
Mr. Ratti-Robinson has been the principal of Northville Junior/Senior High School for the past five years. Prior to that, he was the 6-12 principal and athletic director at Fort Edward Union Free School District, where he also taught social studies and coached for five years. He began his career as a high school special education teacher with a focus on history and economics.
Mr. Ratti-Robinson earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Siena College and his Master of Science degree in adolescent education, social studies/special education from the College of St. Rose. He holds certifications in School Building Leadership and School District Leadership from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. In addition, Mr. Ratti-Robinson is an Eagle Scout, a board member for the Northeast Construction Trades Workforce Coalition, and the assistant director of the NYSPHSAA Boys Basketball Tournament.

There is a personal connection that I’m able to build with students and families in a community like Galway, and I'm excited to see what the future has in store for all of us.”

Mr. Ratti-Robinson and his wife, Catherine, live in Greenfield Center with their son, Everett, who is almost three years old. He is passionate about all things outdoors and live music of any kind.
