JHE Students Spread the Love on Valentine's Day

In a collaborative effort with the Galway Public Library and Saratoga County Department of Aging and Youth Services, hundreds of senior citizens received homemade Valentine's Day cards courtesy of our creative and generous Joseph Henry Elementary School students.
Over 400 brightly colored Valentine's Day cards were delivered to hundreds of senior citizens with their home-delivered meals and at Saratoga County's eight meal sites, which serve lunch to residents over 60-years old. The cards and their sentiments were much appreciated and enjoyed.
Through the Galway Town Hall meal site, Valentine’s cards were sent to seniors in Galway, Providence, Middle Grove, Porter’s Corners, Greenfield, and Edinburg. Additional cards were shared with Galway area residents at their special Valentine’s Day lunch; a meal enjoyed by up to 200 other seniors across the eight meal sites.
