Please note there have been some changes since the printing of the Galway calendar for 2024-25, which listed February 3, 2025 as the day on which Universal PreKindergarten (UPK) and Kindergarten registration began for the 2025-26 school year.

Registrations for NEW kindergarteners (who are NOT currently in our UPK program) will open on Monday, February 10, 2025 on FamilyID. We will share the link on Monday. 

• If your child is currently in the UPK Program at Galway CSD, you do not need to register again, however, we would like to know if your child will continue attending Galway CSD as a kindergartener next year (we will send you a separate email) 
• Children who turn five-years old on or before December 1, 2025 and are legal residents of the Galway Central School District are eligible to enroll in kindergarten

Children who turn four-years old on or before December 1, 2025 and are legal residents of the Galway Central School District are eligible to apply for Galway’s UPK Program. A total of 54 placements are anticipated for the upcoming school year, with a lottery system to determine enrollment in the event that the number of applicants exceeds available seats. 

• The UPK lottery will open on Monday, March 3, 2025 and close at the end of business on Friday, April 4, 2025 (we will share the link on March 3)
• The lottery drawing, if needed, will take place on Monday, April 7, 2025 
• Selected families will be notified by email by April 15, 2025, at which time UPK registration will open on FamilyID
