Welcome Interim Superintendent Mark Fish
Galway Central School District is pleased to announce that Mr. Mark Fish will serve as interim superintendent following the retirement of longtime Superintendent Brita Donovan Ed.D., whose last day in the district was January 31, 2025.
Mr. Fish retired as superintendent of Greenwich Central School District in 2022 and since served as interim principal at Fort Plain Central School District and Salem Washington Academy. Prior to becoming a superintendent, Mr. Fish was an administrator in South Glens Falls Central School District for 18 years. He began his teaching career in Johnstown Central School District.
“It is my great pleasure to begin my term as interim Superintendent of the Galway CSD,” said Mr. Fish. “I want to thank all of the people that have made me feel so welcome during my transition time in the district. I look forward to interacting with many more of you in the coming months. You have a wonderful school district and I intend to keep it that way.”
Mr. Fish and his wife, Jill, live in Malta with their Cavapoo, Tallulah. They have three grown children and recently became grandparents. Mr. Fish likes to golf and spend time on Saratoga Lake boating, swimming, and fishing. His favorite teams are the Yankees, Jets, and Kansas University Basketball.
