ANNOUNCEMENTS/TODAY'S EVENTS
Friday is a day to finish your goals for the week. It is a day to celebrate that which you set out to accomplish at the beginning of the week. Well done, EAGLE NATION! It is the end of the week, and we made it, Eagle Nation. We are one week down and only five more to go till February break, but who's counting? There was some exciting action last night on the mat and hardwood, so make sure to check the highlights. We are in the heart of the Winter Sports Season, and it'll be over before we know it, so make sure you come out to see some events. Next week, we will be hosting our Coaches vs. Cancer week, so come out to support a great cause. The Winter Olympics are this year and kick off on February 6th.
Mr. Kirvin was in the gym last night putting up some shots (proof in the picture below) as he promises to drop 40 on the DJs in the Teachers vs. DJs game. He has the old Chuck Taylors all dusted off and ready to go. He said he plans to through down an alley-oop from Deep Dishin Coach D'Alessandro.
Old Man Winter will be bringing snow and a wintry mix over the weekend, so be safe out there. Think Spring!
Goats and sheep don’t have teeth on their upper jaw. They have a hard palate that helps them grind their food.
Remember, keep it classy, Eagle Nation!

Randall Syracuse Ticket Raffle
Eagle Nation, we are looking for your help!!!! Tragedy struck an athlete's family in our league, and we are helping the Canahoharie Booster Club sell raffle tickets to a Syracuse Men's Basketball game through our Booster Club. One of the Canajoharie players, Senior Dillan Randall, tragically lost his step-mother, Braylynn Fahy, in a car accident on December 1st. Dillan is the same player whose father was killed last January in a tragic accident while repairing his mailbox. Dillan and his two younger brothers, who attend Fort Plain, have suffered unimaginable loss in less than a year, losing both their father and mother/stepmother. To show our support, we are joining forces to raffle off four tickets and a parking pass to the Syracuse versus North Carolina men's basketball game on February 21st (flyer attached) that were graciously donated by Empower Federal Credit Union! Tickets are $5 each and will be available for purchase at all home games or by reaching out to Coach Glenn (mglenn@galwaycsd.org). The winner will be drawn on February 13th at halftime of the Galway Varsity Boys at the Canajoharie Basketball Game. The winner does not need to be present to claim the tickets! All proceeds from the raffle will be donated directly to the family. We have 100 tickets to sell, and I am hoping we can sell all 100 to help support Dillan and his family!
