New year, new seasons, new beginning.

One of the great things about working in education is that you receive two opportunities for a fresh start every year.  While everyone else gets New Year’s Eve as a point of renewal and reflection, the new school year gives us in school another point of renewal and reflection. 

Each of our athletes and athletic teams begin with a fresh start, a chance to prove themselves again and show how they have improved over the following year.  Coaches also get a fresh start with a combination of new athletes and seasoned veterans to their teams.  The start of the school year is a very optimistic time of year. 

I too share much of that same optimism as our athletes and coaches.  The start of a new year is full of opportunities and new beginnings.  I wish all of our athletes, coaches, officials, parents and spectators a wonderful year on the course, track, field or court.

Much of our success here in Galway is due to the support of many volunteers who give their time to support our teams through our many booster clubs.  These clubs work tirelessly to support our athletes in a number of sports.  I encourage you as a parent, teacher, or even a fan to consider lending your time and talents to one, or several of these very worthwhile organizations.  For a list of contacts please our booster club pages.
